When I was a member of the hostee.net forums it was dead 24/7 (I'm not sure if you were). And it had been open for a year or so I believe. So... I hope Chris advertises it more or it'll be dead... once again.

Yeah, the old pickme had that tagboard so people kept coming back to promote.... there's like no real reason to keep coming here because hosts and hostees give out all their contact info on the listings.

Hey everyone (well all two of you!!), thought I'd better start to make an appearance on the boards!! Been busy with other commitments lately since I opened the new Pick-Me! site and transitioning Hostee.net to here!

I'm sorry that the forums are a little bit empty at the moment, but hopefully it will start to pick up soon.

I myself can remember the days of Pick-Me! and I have to say that I created hostee.net because the site closed for a fair time, so wanting to help hostees and hosts find one another I duly created the hostee site with the help of many numerous people who helped me coding and with graphics etc

I find myself feeling a bit disheartened that your comment about “no real reason to keep people coming back” and would hopefully like to think to agree to disagree; there’s the plugboards.. these forums (ermm.. That’s about it…. So maybe you’re right!!!) I would hopefully like to add more features in due course, one feature coming from hostee.net was to be a live chatroom where everyone could logon and chat the night away; but alas the lack of those regular users made this impossible to implement because of the costs involved in doing so.

Obviously I won’t be able to make the new Pick-Me! Like the old Pick-Me! But I’ll try my hardest to get the community swinging again; and is also one of the reasons why we are giving away two iPod nanos to two lucky people! And before you say yeah right; this is a 100% GENUINE offer!

However, I certainly look forward to seeing Pick-Me! grow from strength to strength.
In the meantime, I will welcome any suggestions you might have to make Pick-Me! a better place for yourselves and others
